Halloween snacks
The best part of these snacks is that they are easy... And that they are yummy... And that they are funny. Okay so there are lots of things I like about these. I used the precut apples from Costco so I made these so fast! I was laughing the entire time I made them too. They are too funny!
Crochet Infinity Scarf
Easiest crochet project ever!!! It jut takes awhile. I started with a string of 40 basic loops and that made the width of the scarf, then I crocheted forever and ever and ever... Until it was long enough. Sew the two ends together with yarn and a large craft needle. It took 3 smallish balls of cotton yarn, and I used a j hook. It cost me $6.00 for everything, including the hook! (Thanks to the new Joann's coupon ap!) sorry the instructions probably don't make much sense.., I don't know all the technical crochet terms since I am self taught. :) thanks you tube!

Sugar Free Sports Drink
Yes I know this doesn't have anything to do with sewing... But I haven't been sewing. I have been running, and training for several races. I have also stopped eating/drinking sugar, which means I can't turn to my grape Gatorade after a long run to replenish my electrolytes! And I need that to recover! So after doing some research I realized that one of my favorite summertime drink recipes that a friend gave me, with one small addition actually makes a great sports drink! So let me tell you how to make a sugar free sports drink!
16 oz water
1/2 inch slice of raw ginger root
1 packet of Truvia (stevia)
juice from 1 lime
1 pinch of sea salt (this was the extra ingredient)
Just place all the ingredients in a water bottle and give it a good shake!
The lime juice and ginger root provide the potassium and the sea salt gives you your sodium chloride... Your electrolytes!
I love this because it is less expensive than sports drinks, it's refreshingAnd yummy! You shouldn't taste the salt, if you do then you added too much! Let me know if you try it or if you have other ways to replenish after a good hard work out!

Ruffles and Scraps
I love mixing random prints and fabric scraps to make a dress, it makes them quarky and original. I am sometimes asked if I have an etsy shop, or why don't I start one? My answer: if I feel like I HAVE to do it it won't be fun anymore! I like doing it for friends and family and my own kids, but the pressure you can get from people you don't know, and getting sizes right, and what if they don't like it? I just don't want to deal with all that stress! So here is a dress I made for my friends daughter, Abby!

Easter Accesories
Since I didn't make Easter dresses this year, I figured I should make a few accessories to go with them.
A fancy headband
And some little lace leggings. If you can find stretch lace, it is worth making these yourself. I can make 3 or 4 pair for the price of one, and leggings are EASY. Promise.
I made leggings for all three girls with fabric to spare out of one yard of the lace. It was almost 10.00 a yard. I need to be frugal with all these girls to accessorize!
little cotton dresses
A few dresses I have made lately, and I don't have pictures of anyone wearing these cute dresses because they are for someone else!
A knot dress
A peasant dress
I love how the ruffle turned out!
And a flutter dress for Easter!
I am still obsessed with ruffle pants, so I had to make some to match!
